Do you have an alter ego?

Beyonce has Sasha Fierce, Clark Kent had Superman…who is your alter ego? That one character you can step into and explore a different aspect of yourself, or of the world. Alter egos are powerful ways to experience a sense of freedom from the routine, to discover the world as you have never seen it before, to try new things that you would normally be afraid of. Because when you step into that other role, you leave all the insecurities and restrictions of your former self behind.

My guest today first discovered alter egos when she “switched identities” with her best friend at summer camp. Ever since then, Athena Rosette has been helping people tap into their other self, creating a safe place to explore and learn. Tuesday Tips to Thrive: 

1. As a mindset tool, you can imagine a more powerful and resourceful version of yourself as an alter ego. You will eventually be able to integrate with this version of yourself that you want to become.

2. Be true to yourself and don’t let society dictate what you should or shouldn’t do. What others think of you is their business.

3. Discover forms of art that enable you to be free and open up your thoughts. Artistic expression can come in the form of drawing, dancing or playing music.
