In one of my Stellar Life Podcast interviews, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jaiya. She’s a sexologist who’s an expert in helping people find their erotic blueprints and teaching them how to be comfortable with their sexuality.
If you don’t know your erotic blueprint, I recommend taking the quiz on her website. I promise it’s a fun quiz that will also enlighten you on building a deeper, more intimate connection with your partner. So have him take it too!
Keeping an intimate connection with your partner has many benefits. Not only will it keep you bonded, the connection will help you feel more ‘juicy’ and alive.
In this episode with Jaiya, we gleaned a little bit on aphrodisiacs- food that’s good for your physical, mental, and sexual health.
Food is an essential aspect of your everyday life, and when you are mindful of what you consume, you can reap health benefits along the way- this includes your sex drive. When you boost your physical and mental health, you increase your sex life too.
Try the following for a little libido boost:
- Green algae
- Cacao/Dark Chocolate
- Chili pepper
- Shobu
- Coconut oil
- Kale
- Pomegranate
- Kabocha squash
- Maca
- Almonds
- Acai Berries
- Bee pollen
- Hawthorn berries
- Sunflower seeds
Basically, foods that are good for the brain and are rich in Zinc, Magnesium, and Nitric Oxide are highly recommended for a healthy sex drive. According to Jaiya, if you want to boost some more, avoid sugar like the plague. It messes with your hormones, and it lowers testosterone for men.
So the next time you go for a grocery run, make sure you have some of these items on the list. There are many healthy recipes out there that can help improve your palate and satisfy your cravings if you know what I mean. 😉
Get creative not just in the kitchen, but in the bedroom too!
